Walker Caplan is a writer, editor, and comedian based in New York.

Walker is the co-editor-in-chief of Joyland Magazine; Walker’s plays have been performed by Signature Theatre (VA), New York Musical Festival, Washington Ensemble Theatre, Yale University, and others; Walker was recognized by YoungArts as an outstanding creative educator.

Walker performs standup comedy around New York (Union Hall, The Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Club Cumming, etc.) and is a contributor to Reductress.

As a performer, Walker has helped develop new dramatic and musical works at Yale School of Drama New Plays Lab, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Yale Playwrights Festival, and elsewhere.

BroadwayWorld Seattle called Walker “side-splittingly funny…[with] fearsome vocal chops.” Yale University’s William Zinsser Writing Prize judges called Walker’s writing “fearless,” “sparkling,” “hair-raising,” and “brilliant.”
